I'm in a good deal of short term debt right now, but I planned it that way and I planned a way to finance it. I also have a truck, house and student loan payment too which are all more long term.
the short term stuff is mainly due to recently (2 months ago) buying a house and the stuff I've been doing to it since. yeah I knew money was gonna be tight but I planned and prepared for it and am over with it fo now. The most the credit card ever saw was about $400 in a month. Of course knowing I was going to have plenty of overtime work and a larger check from three months of back pay on our raises helped too!
To the topic though, yes debt makes me alittle nervous, I don't like oweing money and I don't like getting myself stretched too thin. I don't liek buying on credit, I'd much rather right a check or hand over cash, then I know it's paid for fully at once. I also don't step into a loan or any debt without alot of forethought first, something I think alot of other 25 years old like me don't do!
But I couldn't hand over cash on my truck a year ago or my house 2 months ago, or my tuition in college so yeah I have a little debt, but not near as much as many would think!
