Does anyone make a good 12V auto/tractor battery charger anymore?

The last couple of battery chargers I've had seem to be sub-standard. They charge to maybe 12V and then drop out. Most cars batteries are normally at around 13.5V and my pickup charges it's 2 batteries at 14.1V. What I'm looking for a something that will bring my 5th wheel RV AGM batteries back to where they belong when needed. Please lets not talk about Grandads tube powered 3 minute lightning charger, I'm looking for something that can be obtained today without taking out a mortgage.

NOCO smart chargers have a specific AGM mode that charges at a higher voltage.

I have a NOCO Genius and it charges my AGM motorcycle battery to the proper fully charged and rested voltage of 12.8 volts. Size of the battery does not matter as all AGMs require the same charge parameters.

Curious, doesn't your 5th wheel have either a charger converter or inverter to charge the batteries while on shore power? If you upgraded to AGMs for house power on an older RV, it may not. In that case, while more money, you may very well be happier replacing the converter charger or inverter on your rig with an updated unit that will properly charge AGM. That way you don't have to mess around with an additional charger and hook up.

I bought a NOCO Boost Plus in July and it doesn't work anymore. It worked great every time I used it, but last week it was dead. It's been plugged in, but you can't turn it on. Nothing happens.

This is the one that I bought. I would not recommend it.

Yard sales and flea markets. Bought a brand new Sears still taped up in box for 4 bucks. I say no to smart things. Just got asked for one so the man can charge his trolling motor battery. Smart charger won't do it. Or go ahead and get a two wheel roll around. They still work.

It's supposed to, this is one of the reason its going in on warranty work. Which of course is months out hence the need for a good charger.

Yep, the RV world is upside down right now. That is why we've decided to hold off a while longer for our desired motorhome!
