Does anyone know what this part is?

Hi,
The pictured blue part with it's engraved "symbol" is quite the mystery to me. Does anyone know what it is and it's purpose?
It lays on top of the hydraulics and somewhat under the seat. I have not found it in any of the manuals or parts list.

Electrical symbol is a diode, looks like a two wire connector so that might be something you could pick out on the electrical schematic is you have one.

The symbol is for a diode. A diode allows current to flow in one direction only. When the opposite polarity is applied across it and current can’t flow, the system’s voltage will be across it.
In simple terms, they are described as a electrical check valve.
So what is it doing under your seat?
My wild*** guess, and others may have better ones or actual knowledge, is its not really used for anything, but is plugged into the auxiliary/spare plug as a way to occupy/protect that plugs receptacles?
Does it have female sockets?
Maybe there’s also a fuse that’s part of it that would blow first as a way of protecting tractor’s fuse if something is plugged into it.
I could be wrong.

Thanks Coby. I thought that was what it was based on a couple of life times ago electronic class.
I dont have any idea why it is there; though a new schematic that I just received shows 2 diodes. Which appear to control the flow into a couple of lamps on the dash.

Thanks SM, I did just get a schematic and its shows the diodes for some of the engine lamps, not sure which ones yet but the diode is just laying under the seat on the hydraulics not in the engine compartment.

No, if you look at the first pic, you can see the seat switch bypass loop wrapped up in electric tape, coming up through the middle of the seat plate.

Have you disconnected it to see what changed?
Maybe you should leave it connected on the chance it's the explosion preventer. ☺

Being close to the rockshaft, I'm suspecting that plug was used on a switch that would shutoff the PTO once the 3 pt is at max height and then turn it back on once the arms are lowered.

They then have to bypass it with that diode as that feature may not be available for that model of tractor. They most likely share wiring harness between various models.

Just my theory at least.

It's the connection for your seat safety switch. It has been bypassed with a jumper (blue item).

Yes, I bypassed the seat switch the first week I had it. The blue relay fuse looking thing I believe I have correctly found out that it is a diode to control the electrical flow to the gauges.
