1964 Ford 4000 backhoe, 1953 farmall sm 1948 farmall h, 1948 farmall super a
I removed this flow valve out of my 1964 ford backhoe, and looking at the parts book, it should have two. It is missing from my boom down, which does slam, and this one is from my crowd cylinder.

Maybe I’m not calling it the right name, but I’d be looking for it in an sae 10 o ring boss fitting

Looks like an orifice check, allows free flow in one direction, restricted in the other. Likely made by the valve manufacturer to Ford’s spec. If you have a part number, you could do a search For one or try a salvage yard.

The simplest way around it if you can’t find an original is the adjustable flow controls youcan buy from several sources.

I think just about any hydraulic jobber shop could find the equivalent.

Model of backhoe and look it up on messicks and see if the part is still available.
