You may want to check the local Curtis dealers and see if they have one in stock. Turns out my Deere dealer is an authorized reseller, it's a no-brainer where I'll be getting mine when the time comes.

I have one, but do not have it hooked up this year yet. Very easy on & off. Use it on a JD 4710 with the quick attach bucket/forks. Had it on a JD 1050, and had the dealer modify the blade attachment to fit the new loader arms.

Mine has adjustable skids on each end of the blade to keep you from scalping your driveway. When I use it, I drop it down and put the FEL lever in the float position so the only downpressure is from the blade itself.

The springs need to be adjusted where there is some weight up front but not a lot. It is easy to pivot the blade side to side with your "tilt" function of your joystick.

On and off time on the 1050 was about 1 hour by myself. Now with the 4710, about 15 minutes and much less laborious.

Hi All,

I ordered one with my 2520 in August, I'm still waiting...

Curtis has, from what my JD dealer is telling me, the loader mounts on backorder. He told me that Curtis makes the larger, more popular truck plows first and moves onto the loader mount ones as orders pile up to a point where they have enough and are able to make a run.

The snow has already fallen here on the mountain so at this point I'm almost ready to give up on getting the Curtis this year, spend a little more and get a JD blade and blower setup. My driveway is about 500 feet long by 20 wide and last year I had to do it with a walk behind Ariens, took me 4+ hours each time.

That's not going to happen again.

My 2 Cents.

Tom

Hi All,

Well the snowplow gods must be smiling down on me. The dealer swung by yesterday and grabbed the tractor to fit the Curtis plow. He promised to have it back by Thursday which is a good thing, snow is on the way Sat or Sun....:D

I'll post picts.

How are you going to angle the blade, Hydraulically or manually?

Here are some pics of the Curtis blade. My wife said it was time to get the winter equipment on. We don't get that much snow in OK, but she wants to keep the driveway clear. Last year got several inches and kept it clear - the UPS driver said we had the cleanest driveway on his route.

Pics 1 & 2: I keep the blade on a pallet for storage - take it out with the forks.

Pic 3: After driving up to the blade and attaching it to the FEL, it takes about 5 minutes to hook up the hydraulic lines and stabilize them, and hook up the chain in the middle of the loader.

Pics 4 & 5: Side view and front view of blade & tractor.

All of what I blade is asphalt driveway so the 4WD does well on it without chains. I use the box blade for ice - we seem to get a fair amount of ice here through the winter at times.
