Does 7 IRON 72" MMM fit a JD 2520?

I'm looking to find a nice 72 inch MMM for my JD 2520. Can I put a 7 IRON 72 inch MMM under it? Or can I only run the lighter version of the 72 inch MMM?

I found a nice 7 IRON MMM and would buy it if fits my 2520, but if it won't fit I will look for a lighter 72. If indeed I do need the lighter version of the 72 inch MMM, is there a specific name or model number for the MMM?

Good luck in your search. I would kill or die to have a 7-Iron deck for my 2520 - a 60"-62" would suffice.

I tried finding the answers on the John Deere website but that data is "currently unavailable" for some reason. I have a 72" 7-Iron MMM on my 3720 tractor and it is a great mower. I suspect at the very least you would need to buy specific hangers and hydraulics to make it work on your 2520 if it is even possible. So, I'd investigate the additional parts aspect with your JD dealer prior to buying and he can also answer the question if that mower will work on your tractor. The attaching parts can sometimes sway your decision as those parts are usually costly and add to the price of the mower.

Dealer said they never listed anything for a 7 iron on a 2520, so I suspect its not worth the trouble. If I could buy the attachment kit and bolt it on, I would do it in a heartbeat. Guess I'll find a lighter duty 72!

The lighter duty deck is still heavy duty.
