While diging fence posts yesterday with my 2520, I was of coarse next to the last one and snap. You know that feeling that this will be bad goes through your gut. So I step off the back only to find it was the ujoint knuckle at the PTO shaft. whew fixible.... better than the rear ouput shaft. SO.... I have only maybe 300 holes on my speeco. Lubed regularly . A bit surprised I must say. I guess it's better than what could have happened.

Probably just a bad casting of that u-joint. Did you look closely at the two broken sections? Maybe there was some impuritiy or voids in the metal, or possibly it was cast with a hairline crack in it. Anyway, like you said it's easily fixable. Just an aggraving thing to have to stop what you are doing an take care of business.

I broke a yoke on my METRIC PTO shaft and have been to three stores looking for the correct replacement. Never knew they made so many sizes and still don't have the correct one in my hands. Wouldn't small, medium, and large be adequate for agricultural applications ? The bearings we checked didn't match also.
I may have to call ATI Corp. next week and find the proper one.
