There's a new quiz that purports to measure how connected you are to "average white American and American culture at large."

Scores range from from 0 to 100. "The higher your score, the thinner your bubble. The lower, the more insulated you might be from mainstream American culture."

Interesting quiz, some of those questions would be pretty regional though. For example, there aren't a lot of factories or unions in Texas so living here, one wouldn't have as much opportunity to walk a factory floor or attend a union meeting as they would in Illinois, Michigan or Ohio.

I got 43, by the way. I would have preferred to score lower. Maybe now that we've moved to a rural area, my score will begin to decline... :)

I think you want a higher score. 0 is fancy upper class.

43.

I don't watch TV shows as a rule. Not sure how it would have affected my score though.

I already know I'm different but there is nothing wrong with that. I don't care how thin or thick my bubble is. My word means something if to no one else it means something to me and that's the most important. I intend to keep right on using men's rooms instead of the ladies and no I'm not getting any tattoos either. I just don't give a hoot what the rest of the idiots do because from what I see, they don't care how they act or how they look and they don't value anything or anyone least of all themselves.
