That is what I was told by one of the "agents" that works in my local State Farm office. I found that to be rediculous and promptly asked to speak to the owner/broker, with whom I was used to talking to anyway. After she spoke directly with the underwriter at the home office, she informed me that the info given to me by her agent was correct for an agricultural/"farming" use but, NOT correct for a "homeowner's" use. I do not "farm". Therefore, my homeowner's coverage applies to my tractor as it applies to all other property covered under homeowner's and it applies no matter where the tractor is. Of course, all exceptions and exclusions that apply to other property apply to the tractor AND, a further exception is that I am not covered if I improperly secure the tractor to a trailer which results in the tractor being damaged due to flying off the trailer.
