I bought our tractor before we built our house, so I had to trailer it back and forth between our house and the new property. State Farm said I needed specific coverage for the tractor since it was on the highway a lot and not being used at our permanent residence. Once we got the house built and moved in, we were able to drop that coverage and the tractor was covered under our homeowners policy. Now the only time I'm covered off our property, is if I have to trailer it to the dealer for service. If I take it somewhere to do some work off our property, I'm not covered, so I don't do that.
I think the rider we had at the time was about $35 a year. But we also had our vehicles, 3 houses, life insurance, umbrella liability, and mortgage insurance with them at the time, so we may have gotten a break on the price (yeah right!!). /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
$80 is cheap if you have a boo-boo and have to replace some tractor sheet metal, house siding, barn door, or the side of your car. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif It's rare but it does happen.
Good Luck /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
