Tug, I'm having to pay $10.97 at Walmart or $11.99 at the liquor store, plus 8% sales tax for a gallon of Carlo Rossi. I've never bought any of the wine in a box, but I've had some, over 20 years ago, at some friends' home that was pretty good, but I don't remember exactly what it was.

And no, I didn't mean Hadacol was similar to good wine, except for the alcohol percentage.:D However, I can't say Hadacol isn't similar to good wine since I never drank any Hadacol.:D

And the net stopped the birds from getting the tomatoes, the tomatoes we've eaten were a great flavor, but unfortunately, we haven't had many tomatoes and the vines appear to be dying instead of blooming more, and I'm not sure why. We planted them just in big flower pots in Miracle Gro Potting Soil, so water runs right through it like a sieve. Perhaps we aren't watering them enough, but I do think we are.

Bird,...glad to hear your tomato net worked. My wife bought the plant you hang upside down from a bag of earth last year and got some nice ones. Is trying again this year. Varmints can't get 'em and birds don't seem interested, but of course we don't have your Mockingbird to contend with.

"Magnotta's" Niagara vineyards produce really nice bottled and boxed wine. I buy a 16 litre box, approx. 1 foot by 1 foot by 1-1/2 feet high with spigot. The red at room temp. fits in a diningroom cabinet at roughly 5 bucks a litre. (which is pretty INexpensive wine here). A nice dry White, about 4 bucks a litre, in a 4 litre "narrow" box designed for the top shelf of the fridge with spigot. These last a long, long time in our home. (But Coke's another story!)

Tractor-Wines: These boxes secure nicely to the tractor with a little binder-twine for handy-dandy on the go sipping, when you're just too busy to go to the local bar. For the awning or cab tractor they wire to the ceiling, a rubber straw in your mouth provides hours of tractoring comfort till you pass-out and fall off !!! ...."JUST KIDDING"!!!..STUPID JOKE!!..SORRY GUYS,..JUST KIDDING, ...HONEST !!...I should NOT joke about it!!!

REASON: ...I felt I had hi-jacked us off the main topic and felt a little humor would get us headed back in the right direction. But I apologize as it really is "not" a joking matter.

I most "sincerely" wish everyone a happy, SAFE, (NBWT) "No-Booze-While-Tractoring" summer !!! I'd hate to learn "booze" was involved in a tractor related "injury"!!!(Especially after making light of it!!) So please eh.....

GOOD LUCK Boys and Girls "ALL OVER" our Tractoring World!!!

A West Virginia deputy sheriff told me he wrote a guy on a bicycle a speeding ticket for doing 75 in a 55 mph zone. He wasn't kidding, and it wasn't hard for me to believe because I'm familiar with the hill he was going down.:D

I do find that one very hard to believe.
I have raced, I have passed cars down blacktop mountain roads, but I don't think I have ever clocked over 55 MPH.
Streamlined recumbents... maybe, but not on a regular race bike, the aerodynamics of which are barely better than a barn.
Awww, fergitt those stupid ads for streamlined helmets.

At about 85 KMH I my bikes gearing had me maxed out pedaling downhill.:D

Felt a lot more comfortable on the mountain bike than the road bike with 28mm tires.:D

Shucks, that seems just like yesterday but that was only 12 years ago!:D

I've never been much of a drinker, and I'm even less as I get older. I think the last time I had any sort of alcohol was five years ago? Maybe longer? I never developed a taste for beer. It's usually water, coffee, or iced tea, non sweetened for me. Speaking of coffee, it's that time again!

I did a lot of monotonous box-blading this weekend and drank a couple of beers while doing that. For that type of task, I figure one or two is alright. But, if I'm doing something that takes a bit more attention, I'm usually drinking coffee or water.
