Some lasers can reach the moon which is over 200,000 miles away. If the earth was flat it should be easily doable to shine a laser across any ocean. If the earth was flat wouldn’t logic say the moon is also flat. If the moon was flat I’m pretty sure you’d notice from here.

I don't need a laser to bounce my 6 meter signals off of the moon. Amateur radio operators have been bouncing VHF and UHF signals off of the moon and back for reception here on our earth for many decades. You can read more about EME here if it interest you:

wThey were carrier aircraft and didn't have fly that far. The carriers were equiped with tractor treads so they could cross the continents in a straight line.
