Do they make a good mop anymore?

Like all things in life, sometimes you get what you pay for. Never a complaint using this set up in the last 10 years no matter what kind of replacement "mop head" we've bought.

No matter how great the mop head, you'll still have to ring it out to get it clean to re use it.

I've the same bucket.

SWMBO kept buying these little folding sponge mop heads and then bought a string mop with a "spinner wringer". Virtually nothing got mopped up.

I bought that bucket and a decent mop. No complaint when I use it. "Too heavy" for her to roll around.

BULLSHITE! My wife uses the same thing in the kitchen, it rolls around just fine for her

Now, the pain in the butt part at times is when you have that bucket full of dirty water and you have to dump it outside. That said, the deal is if my wife mops, I'll throw out the dirty water:laughing:

Industrial mop, wringer bucket.

Thats where we got ours and heads when we need them, the old string type, gears are big and metal and away from the mop head, just a hose down keeps them clean.

As mentioned, the only industrial mop worth owning is the one from Sam's Club. Replaceable mop head. I've mopped my shop floor with one for several years and still can't wear it out.

Many years ago I needed a new dry & wet mop. Went to a commercial cleaning service in Spokane and purchased from them. Both have been excellent products for over ten years. Brand - - Industrial - Chemical Laboratories Inc.

I loathe sponge mops. Never work worth a ****, and you can never find a replacement head. Their sale is a tax on the uninformed. String mop all the way for me.

We've used sponge mops ever since we were married. I've never NOT been able to find a replacement head. We get them at the grocery store.

Broom? Open the front and back doors and fire up the leaf blower. Also, good for blowing snow off the vehicles.

Walmart sells traditional mops with replaceable heads, Rubbermaid wheeled buckets and wringers. My home is entirely tile. I have been using one Rubbermaid wheeled bucket and wringer for over ten years.

It is important to thoroughly rinse a traditional mop in clear water plus bleach after use, otherwise mop will be loaded with insects and mold in three days.

Mop, less protruding handle, and wringer store in the bucket.

Proper care of mops was only one useful thing I learned during an enlistment in the US Navy.

Since when does a swabbie call a swab a mop? My boot camp chief would have given a week head duty if you had the audacity. First thing we did was turn to, titillate the barracks, and swab the decks.

Again, Sam's Club -and likely Walmart-has the best wide push broom around and by a wide margin. I also think it's made in the USA. They also sell a small broom (USA made?)and dust pan that is excellent but not outstanding. I'll only rate it 98% because I've been spoiled by their excellent push broom. I can crack the plastic housing on the small broom but takes about five years of my abuse.

Broom? Open the front and back doors and fire up the leaf blower. Also, good for blowing snow off the vehicles.

For fluffy snow, there is no equal to the leaf blower.
