Do liquid fill tire expand?

Do you have a set of tire chains? If so, you could check the fit...I think you'd find that they still fit fine (ie, the same as always), which would rule out the expanded tire theory.
Unless you have other reasons not to widen the stance, I'd say its a good idea. In any case, I can't see why inserting the pins from the inside would make a difference.

Well, lets try this explanation on for size. How about my CRS is acting up again and the tractor was actually delivered with the pins on the inside and I didn't notice. When I went to put it back on 6 weeks later I read the manual to refresh my recollection and "remembered" that my dealer delivered it as per the manual. My consternation/frustration at not being able to install the pin correctly caused a massive brain fart which led me to not consider that my dealer delivered it "wrong" because they didn't take the time to remount the wheels when they couldn't get it pinned correctly. Not magic, I just can't remember sh%%. That, and I trusted my dealer (silly me). If the pins can't be inserted from the outside (and they can't), and it is impossible for the tires to have expanded (and it apparently is), and it isn't magic (which it probably isn't), I can't think of another explanation. The solution still remains remounting the wheels or living with the pins on the inside.

Yeah, smoking weed will do that to your memory.

I built a dolly to move my tires around so I could put spacers on. Mine are a bit smaller than your's, but it should work. its basically a base sized to fit snuggly to the sides of the tire with one open end. I jack up the tractor, slide the dolly under, undo the bolts and I can move the tire around pretty easily in the dolly. The risk is having it fall over so my dolly goes up about 12" on the sides of the tire and cross supports in the bottom are sized to keep it from rolling. It works well and I never have to lift anything and can just move it out of the way while I adjust the spacers etc.

anytime something is pumped into a tire, air has to be released to keep the same amount of air pressure
