only runs with choke on when moved to fast or slow it stales out the last couple mowings I could only mow till I reached a half tank and would have to fill it up then it would run good till reaching a half tank again any help thanks

Replace fuel filter, be sure to use metal mesh type. Let us know if it's any better after that
