If the temp down there is anything like it is here you shouldn't really need the glow plugs to start... We are sitting at 63 out right now...

I second checking the stop lever to see if it is hung.

I've tried cycling the key a few times. Didn't help. The temp here has been in the 60's here during the day and 40's at night, so that shouldn't be an issue. Battery is strong.
I didn't test the connections at the glow plug strip. I'm going on vacation. I'll check that if the new filter doesn't fix it.

Thank you all for the good information and tips. I'll let you know how it turns out when I get back from Florida.

be sure to check the fuel kill linkage... i did have this happen to a CK25 one time...

I agree, that is probably the problem.
CK25 here too LOL.
Just a little trim of the cable and it was fine.

How long did you crank on it? My DK55 had the same problem. I could turn the key to the first position until the dash light for the glow plugs went off, but it wouldn't start. It just sputtered and blew out white smoke. If it was around 60 degrees outside, it might start after about 25-30 seconds of continuous cranking. Below 50 and you might as well pull out the ether.

My dealer had to replace a glow plug relay or a timer? I don't know exactly what it was that he replaced. Once he fixed that, the glow plugs would work and it started fine. It's extremely cold natured and it needs those glow plugs to start. Just because the dash light comes on, don't assume the plugs are heating.

Back from Florida. Had a great trip. Tried all the suggestions. Disconnected suction side of fuel pump, has good flow from tank. Reconnected, then disconnected discharge side of fuel pump. Cranked engine over, no flow from pump.
Ordered new pump from dealer. Tractor is still under warranty. Dealer told me they cannot warranty the fuel pump without checking entire fuel system. I don't have a way to get the tractor to the dealer since it won't start. Warranty doesn't cover service calls. I don't mind changing the fuel pump, but I feel the dealer could warranty the cost of the pump if they wanted to. Am I wrong with this way of thinking?
I won't know til Friday when new pump arrives if this is actually the problem, but it sure appears that it is.

Before you do anything else.
Turn your key on and watch the fuel kill solenoid, it is towards the radiator just in front of where the manual shut down cable hooks up.
When you turn the key on nothing will happen but when you turn the key off, it should pull the pump kill towards the radiator.
Then after a few seconds release it.
If it does not release it....you found your problem.
Or if you want you can just take it and the kill cable all the way off and see how it works, you can do that.
This is just as a test procedure only.
I'm gonna put my money on the fuel kill solenoid....
