My 2008 DK55 instrument lights stay on after turning the tractor off except the glow plug light and I can't turn engine off with key, I can only start it. I changed the ignition switch and it continues to do the same thing. This happened after a full day of blowing snow when I brought it in to rest. For now I disconnect the negative on the battery so I don't kill the battery and burn the instrument lights. I use the kill button to stop the engine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Assuming your schematic is similar to a DK50C (http://pt709.synology.me/DK50C.xps), all power for the instruments goes through the key switch. As a diagnostic, that happens to those instrument lights if you unplug the key switch? If unplugging the switch makes the lights go out, the switch is bad. If not, you have a problem (shorts) somewhere in the wiring harness or fuse panel. Such a short is a pain to find but you may be able to find it by wiggling wires, working back from the switch, until you find a place where wiggling makes those lights go out. I'd check the key switch or the fuse panel first because you's need multiple shorts in the wires to create this problem.

Thanks for you help Scott. I replaced the switch but had done that when the battery was disconnected. Tomorrow I will connect the battery and unplug the switch and see what happens. If it is not the switch I was going to take the dash apart and follow each wire and see what happens. I guess I will start at the fuse box first which is under the floor and something could have got wet as I was blowing snow all day when it happened. Thanks a bunch, I will let you know if I find the problem. Cheers Dale
