Yes, it should handle a 6 footer with ease. Hopefully you are getting it a lot cheaper than the one listed on Tractor House.

I run a 6' rfm mower behind my 45, and I see no reason why it couldn't handle 7'. I know it isn't an apples to apples comparison with mine being a woods and all, but not that much different. Just so you know, I cut weeds (2-3 foot high stuff) with my 6' RFM too, just takes a couple of passes to chew it up fine.

Nah, the one I'm looking at is pretty firm at $850. I was hoping, as always, to get it just a little cheaper and I probably would have went ahead and done it. I'm leaning towards getting it anyway because it looks to be in good condition.

We will run 7' Kioti Finish Mowers behind everything from CK35 up depending on the customers yard.
6 ft HD rotary is good for a 45 or a 7' medium duty cutter, again depending on what you are cutting and where you are using it.

I picked up the cutter today and that thing is heavy. I used the FEL to get it off the trailer and was going to just drive it to the back of the house to set it down. Well, I can tell right now from this and also from moving some dirt piles last week that getting the rear tires filled is almost a necessity unless I am going to keep some other kind of weight on the rear. Today, while moving the cutter, the tractor got only slightly on a sideways lean and the left rear wheel started picking up. This had also happened while moving the dirt last week but I was unsure what the dirt weighed, though I was thinking it didn't look like much. I understand that I wasn't on perfectly level ground, but I sure didn't think that it was enough today that it would have brought the tire up. From what I've read, the cutter weighs in the neighborhood of 1000# or maybe a little more and I only had it about a foot off the ground. The bucket itself was probably about five feet up. I ended setting it down and using the 3pt to move it.

I see you already have picked it up. That said, run a 6ft. Landpride and a 7ft. Kioti RFM on my 45SE and it's fine. Just cut 7 acres with both last week.
