Kioti DS4510
I bought a used Kioti DS4510/FEL with 165 hours a couple months ago. It is my first tractor. It has 195 hours on it now and so I am starting to look at the 200 hour service. Prior owner did both the 50 and the 100 hour service.
From what I read in the manuals I need to change engine oil and replace oil, transmission, air and fuel filters.

How much would a dealer typically charge to come out and do this service. Kioti Dealer is about 45 minutes away.

If I decide to do the service myself what is the best place to buy the filters. ( I change the oil in my cars and do a fair amount of motorcycle engine work. ) With the closest dealer being 45 minutes away, I really don't want to drive 1.5 hours to pick up filters. (Amazon and Rocky Mountain ATV have spoiled me!) Will dealers order and ship directly to my house and if so does any one dealer have a better online presence than another.

Thanks.

Thanks for the link. They appear to have better prices than what I could get on Wix Filters cross referenced at OReilly's. Everything from MIE total was $105 with shipping

Do the service yourself. Great way to get to know your tractor and demystify the service needs. I've done all of my own services since taking delivery new. Not rocket science just be thoughtful and read up. I'd never serviced a diesel before and mine now has 500 hrs and going strong.

I would second doing the service yourself. I was a little nervous doing my 50 hour service, but as Island Tractor said it "helps you get to know your tractor."

If I'm not mistaken, you don't need to change the filters @ 200 hours on your meter. The trans filter needs to be changed at 200 hours since the last filter change. If the previous owner changed the trans filter at 50 hours, then you need to change it again until you hit 250 hours.

Looking at the service manual, the 200 hr service looks quite simple: Check a few things (like tire pressure) and change the fuel and transmission oil filters.

Don't forget to check and tighten every accessible bolt, especially those mounting the FEL and BH subframe.

Filters all came in last week so I did the 200 hour service this weekend. Everything was going well, job was taking less than an hour, until I decided to follow the manuals advice to drain water from clutch housing. Manual picture of clutch housing bolt was not to clear, I crawled under the tractor and looked for bolt. Saw the rear transmission drain and figured only one hydraulic drain. Saw another large bolt and figure it was the clutch housing bolt. Wrong!!. Hydraulic fluid came pouring out. Tried to get the bolt back in the hole but it seemed to be cross threading so I held the bolt in the hole and yelled for the wife to bring me a clean bucket. Having just put the hydraulic filter on and top the hydraulic fluid off, I now had to let everything drain out. Fluid looked good so I decided to just put it all back in. Got the drain bolted threaded back in and thought I was good to go but then being under the tractor I noticed that the Kioti has two oil pans and I realized I only drained the right side. I thought when draining the oil it didn't look like 2 gallons of oil but hard to tell what 2 gallons looks like in a 5 gallon bucket. Not sure how much that other oil pan holds but I had some mowing to do so I wrapped everything up and just moved on. Frustrated that I missed the extra oil drain plug. Don't see that mentioned in any posts on this thread and the manual doesn't make any mention other than now I go back and read it carefully and it says to remove drain plugs (note the plural). So what would you all do. Tractor had oil and filter change at 50 hours and 100 hours. Now at 200 hours it has had filter and 3/4 oil change. Would you change oil now or run it and do a oil and filter change at 50 hours or can I let it go to the 300 hour mark. As for the clutch housing drain bolt, I suppose that is the smaller bolt a couple inches in front of the front large hydraulic drain bolt. I did take that bolt out and nothing came out.

My NH has a recommended oil change interval of 300 hrs, I change at 150hr(clock time) and the oil stays pretty clear for the first fifty hours or so even with 2500 hours on the engine. So I think you are fine for the next 100 to 150 hours, good excuse to rack up those hours quick, enjoy the ride.
