Just thought I would post up about a problem I am having. My Yote started leaking yesterday behind the left step where the hydrosatat filter is at. The leak is coming from the high pressure pipe that connects to the filter housing. This fitting is a through bolt design and has o-rings on the top and bottom of the flanges. The o-rings are not torn or have any nicks in them, however they do seem to be flattend out just a bit, I'm hoping that is the problem. I found some replacements at an auto parts store last night, going out to try them now so hopefully the Yote will get some work done today.

Please be real careful around hydraulic leaks- just a word of caution to use cardboard to verify the leak NOT your hand(s), since the high pressure can lead to fluid injected into skin and immediate surgery need at best.
What model, #hours, etc?
What do you think would have flattened out the o-rings? Has the tractor had the 50hr. service and hydrostat filter changed already?

Yote machine, yea thanks for the heads up about high pressure hydraulics, I am well aware of that, ( I'm a mine inspector with MSHA), and if just one other person read it and saved thier hand makes this a great post.

My tractor is one year old and it just turned over 200 hrs. It gets used every day on some really steep ground. I am extremely pleased with the Yote, I had one small issue last fall where a relay went bad and wouldn't engage the starter, and now this leak. Today, I replaced the o-rings but it didn't make any difference, still a drip about every 1/2 second. I think I may have found the problem, but didn't have time to investigate further today. I suspect the hardline hydraulic tube may have a small crack in the weld were the tubing is joined to the through bolt flange. It's on the top side so I will have to remove the tube to inspect it close.

I'll keep posted to what I find out.
