Hey Pack!

Finally got to use the KKII tiller recently and thought I'd share some of the photos.

I tilled late due to (1) rainy season & (2) time home combined with when I could get it from my Father-in-law.

What you see is my first pass w/ the tiller, then a second row for about 18' to 20'. I didn't mow down the field area (probably should have??), I just started tilling. The first 2 photos is just one pass, the other photo shows it after 3 passes. After the 3rd pass it was ready to go. I ended up waiting a week and the day I planted my corn (July 9th), I tilled it again. I only put in 7 short rows of corn (65 day rated) but by the following Thursday, they were popping thru the surface!!! Hopefully, we can put out a larger garden next year?!

The tiller is set for the max. depth and I turn it on w/ minimum throttle and then power up. It is awesome!!!! Also, makes a good counter weight on the back too!

Great pictures!

A tiller would last about 10 mins up here with all the granite ledge and rocks but looks like it does a beautiful job in some good soil.

Looks good after 3 passes. I also have a DK40se HST and want to buy a tiller. Is this a Reverse Tine Tiller and how width?

The KK tillers are forward rotation tillers. i have a 6 footer and it does a good job.

Pure Animal,

It is a 6 footer and it is a forward drive action. I actually ran it at 2,000 - 2,100 RPMs. It had no problems handling it at all.:D

Thanks for the information, but I am leaning toward the reverse tillers as I believe I would have to make less passes for the same results. I know the reverse tillers are more expensive to buy but in time I think I would save on fuel and hours on my machine.

I have the forward KK tiller(5') and it's 3 passes & plant.

It looks like the reverse tillers are almost $1K more than a forward tiller. That's a lot of fuel to make that back....how many ac are you tilling per year?
