Changed fluids and filter HST, manual says nothing about bleeding system but workshop manual states: Bleed air from system before starting the engine after any HST related parts, filter, fluid, the system should be bled before starting engine, if started, damage to HST could be damaged.

HOW to bleed HST hydraulics???

Just run it and make sure everything works in the first minutes. Chances are it will self bleed as with 90% of the hydraulic systems.

If not, use some compressed air to prime the system. Basically, wrap a cloth around the nozzle of the air gun and put it on the fill neck so it somewhat seals enough. Then, with the tractor running, give it a couple of small bursts of compressed air to hopefully push fluid up to the hydraulic pumps.

One other question...drain plug for HST?? under left foot pedal area, near HST filter...I opened main drain plug between rear wheels...drained and replaced transmission filter on R side...did I drain the HST also...or is this a separate drain plug???
