Kioti DK35
I need to start thinking about doing my 100 hr service. This would be the first one that I do ( the dealer did the first one).
I Know I need to read the manual, but is there anything that I need to know thats not in the book ? Do I need to use Kioti filters ? How much and what kind of oil do I need to buy? Do I need different oil for the hydraulics vs engine oil ? Are there ANY questions I should have asked that you have answers for ?

Thanks
John

If the DK35 manual is written the same way as the CK20 manual then the recommended steps, fluids and intervals are pretty clearly described. You will need something less than 2 gallons of oil (probably a gallon I would guess but you might as well get more). Again, the manual will give you the specs on recommended oil and approximate volume for oil change. Hydraulic fluid is definitely different than motor oil so educate yourself on what type you want to buy. However, I don't think hydraulic fluid requires changing at 100 hrs and technically neither does the oil filter (but most would go ahead and change it with each oil change). Make sure you clean out the air filter too. Hopefully you have already been lubricating the various zerks as part of your routine but this would be a good time to do a particularly thorough search for out of the way zerks.

If the dealer changed all the fluids and filters at 50 hours you really shouldn't need anything at 100 hours.
Grease it and go !!

Vince, I thought an engine oil change was due at 100 hours. The CK30 calls for it every 50. Maybe the 35 is different. Other than maybe the oil change, as Vince advised; grease and go.

I had my DK35 delivered 1 year ago today. It's now at about 260 hours. At 100 change Oil and filter. Use Kioti fulters, I buy mine from the dealer 4 oil and one hydralic filter at a time. that way I only have to go to the dealer every 300 hours when the hydralic filter change is due. I use 15W40 Oil and change the filter with each 50 hour Oil change. The book recomends Oil filter changes every 100 hours but at less than $6 I change it every 50 hours.

You should also torque the wheel nuts, check fluid levels of coolent, and Hydralic system, as well as greasing all fittings including those hard to get at ones on the inside of the tie rods.

The owners manual on the DK 35 calls for motor oil/filter change every 100 hours.
Hydraulic oil/filter change every 300 hours.
If the dealer did the full sevice at 50 hours John should only need a grease and go for his 100 hour..

Thanks for the reminder Vince. I went back to my manual. After the initial 50 hour change when new, it's every 100 hours there after. Sorry if I confused anybody.

Kioti dealer. The Kioti filters are not expensive.

The air filter is quite pricey and the grey hydraulic filter is pretty expensive. My local dealers always seem to have them in stock though and I sure like using OEM.
