DK 65

First let me introduce myself, my name is Ronnie and I'm new to this site. I've read most of the post, and have gotten lots of good info. It looks like ya'll are very informative on this subject.

I'm thinking about purchasing the Kioti DK 65, and would like to get some input on this. I'd like to know how these tractors are to maintain, any major problems with the design, and how this tractor will compare with other tractors of this size.

Welcome aboard! The DK65 is one heck of a machine!

For your questions,,, It is very easy to maintain. Grease fittings everywhere, filters easy to get to, and drain plugs are easy to get at. I haven't noticed any problems with the design of the tractor. I really like how the loader looks on it. I do not like loaders that have a bar running across the top close to the steering wheel, and a bar out front of the grille.

I have about 180 hours on mine, and it is the only thing in my garage that does not have any leaks /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think it will compare very well with other tractors. I was looking at a John Deere 5210 ( I think that was the number). To me the Kioti was much better and with a much cheaper $$$ tag. I wanted a tractor that had power and weight,,, the DK65 has both!!

RedDog, Thank you for your response, this is exactlly the kind of info I was looking for. The local Kioti dealer has quoted me a price of $25,300, for a DK65 with a 1730 fel. I feel like this is a good price, but what are your thoughts?


Comparing this to a couple of other makes I've checked, this a little cheaper. Plus the others I have checked on were not 4 wheel drive.I wasn't really looking for 4 wheel drive, but I think I could see where it has it advantages.

That price does not sound to bad to me. A little more than what I paid, but you are in a different part of the Country than me, plus I know the prices have gone up /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

The 1730 loader is an excellant choice,, same as mine /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Tremendous lifting ability, and the self-leveling feature is nice.

You want 4 wheel drive!!! I wouldn't even think of buying a brand new tractor that wasn't!!

Some of the features I like on the 65 are: Front differential lock. This is very nice and makes your tractor a True 4 wheel drive machine, unlike others that are 3 wheel drive. I haven't had to use it much, but it does make a difference. Another very nice feature is the ability to raise and lower your hydraulics from the rear. This is very nice when hooking up implements. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif You do not have to get back on it to raise or lower your hydraulics.

I would strongly suggest you to get the quick attach/detach plate for your loader.

My tractor has,,,, R-4 tires, sunshade, 1730 loader with quick attach plate, 84" HD bucket, and loaded rear tires.
