DK 45S Arrived Today

I have been experimenting with the pics John. We are using Adobe Photoshop Elements and I am not getting quite the clarity that I want although the original picture is very clear. It's a rainy day here in Pa so I might have a chance to post a few more. Thanks Dodgeram, I would have been happy with a 20 or a 30 but I need to do field work (plowing, harrowing, cultivating) so I had to go with a bit more hp. As far as the cab that was more my wife's idea, it will definitely take some getting used to.

I just want to state for the record, at NO time did my wife say "why don't you get a tractor with a cab" /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
For the better part of a year I did hear "what do you need a tractor , especially one with a BH, for?"
We've been married for a little over 30 years, so we both learn to tune certain things out /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I'll bet it's going to be difficult getting used to that cab. I mean with AC and stereo and all. If you find it's just too hard to use, let me know and I'm sure we can work a swap /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

This is a 2 bottom plow, Rick said it would pull a 3 bottom but I had bought the plow for a 28 hp JD.

Congrats on your new machine. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif We're in the middle of pine mating season here, sometimes it looks like someone is up in the trees emptying a sack of yellow flour into the wind. Anyhow, when I had to sweep the yellow dust off the tractor seat, I really wanted that cab.

Thanks, the cab has some nice features. The side doors
can be held open by an extra swing out latch, keeps them open at about four inches to allow air flow, has a popup in the roof and most of the back window swings out and is held in place with small cylinders. All of the switches for the lights, AC, stereo, etc, are in the roof directly in front of you. You can have fresh air drawn in by the AC or use recirculated air. It has a cab light, two work lights for the front of the tractor and two for the back, swing out side mirrors and a rear view mirrow. It has glass behind the seat so it is very easy to view your implements and the cloth seat is quite comfortable.
The cab seems very snug and secure and sure cuts down on the engine noise. I hear people marveling about the JD cabs, Kioti doesn't have anything to be ashamed of when they designed and built their cabs.

Nice looking tractor. The cab model was not available when I bought mine. I would love to see some close up pics of the cab, inside and outside. Congratulations!!!

Thanks for the pictures. Looks very nice indeed. I noticed the seat has a different material on it. Is that cloth? I guess the seat comes like that on the cab models? The inside of the cab looks very neat. Not cluttered at all. Looks like they did a nice job on it. Is the radio an AM/FM Cassette? Where I live you can't pick up much on the radio. I bet a nice XM or Sirrus radio would do the trick. I also like the joystick position where it is at now on yours. Looks very nice indeed. I hope it gives you many years of great service. XM radio is great, you can buy one that's like a walkman or an iPod now, I have one in my '96 Ford Bronco, just put in a newer head unit to control it that plays mp3 files on a cd, niine hours of music on one cd. Lot's of choices, not too expensive.
