Could use some advice:)
I am trying to hook up the quick disconnect hydraulic fittings for the BH. Only had it hooked up once before. Seems like the male connectors are not going in far enuff for the lock to engage. Is there some sort of trick etc to doing this? Thanks for any advice.

If your BH has been sitting for a while. There may be pressure buildup in the lines. Take a pin that will fit inside of quick coupler and push the ball or pop valve in to relieve the pressure. Cover quick coupler with a rag to catch any oil that is released. You may have to do the same to the male end. Make sure you are clear of the BH in case it moves when pressure is released. Tractor should be off when you attempt to connect the lines.

I had to loosen the fittings to relieve enough pressure to connect mine. I am going to make up a fitting with a valve that I will plug into the backhoe as soon as I disconnect it so I can easily release the pressure buildup.

Thank you!!!!!!!
Definately pressure build up in the BH. Had to loosen fittings to release. Works like a charm.

My Woods hoe did that today. I just held the hose in my hand and hit the male end nipple with a rubber mallet/hammer. It pushed the nipple in and relieved the presure.

Of course I tried foul language first but had to resort to the hammer.
