When I was still working for the DOT, we hired a guy with a small towable grout pump to fill some small coal mine shafts under a couple of roads. May consider that, instead of buying one.

I have a neighbor that made their own mudjack, to seal up around their springhouse. A large bore hyd. cylinder, hooked to a smaller cylinder the same stroke. The large bore was the pump, and the small bore provided the pressure to push. Just need to figure out the plumbing, and valves to load, and disperse...

What I've worked with, just make sure you have a screen, to screen out the lumps. Guarantee there will be some in a ready-mix truck. Not much fun dragging a full 2" hose full of grout out of a hole..!! Let alone tapping the hose with a sledge, to mash up the lumps...

Not sure where you are located, but we always had them add fly ash from coal fired power plants to the mix. Makes it flow a lot better..!!

Thank you very much for excellent information! I have priced new grout pumps from wastecorp and kenrich, a new hose couplings run about $1000.I will see who I can find to have it done, although over time having my own equip can come in handy.I live north of Ohio. Thanks again for your help!

Maybe even something like around here they call "B-Level", leveling company. I believe it is a franchise type deal. But maybe look under sidewalk leveling. Just a mudjack, to level sidewalks, slabs or whatever.... Probably truck/trailer mounted, so they could get in anywhere.

If you are filling voids beneath concrete structures, consider using bentonite in the grout. It will help to prevent shrinkage and avoid as many air gaps beneath the structure as possible.
