On mainland Europe the German Hatz has pushed Lister off the market quite a bit, for small diesels on plate compactors and the such.

Drove it in and out the garage today, no seat, no throttle, no brakes and a hand operated clutch! Everything works as it should

Cheers guys, next step is a clutch pedal and mechanism, bonnet and dash, seat, maybe some brakes, and a hand throttle. Then it will be able to go forward and backward no probs, I will start looking at the mower deck.
Once it's running properly I will post some vid clips

Had more time today to make some more bits, now have a dash/bulkhead, steering wheel, clutch pedal and salvaged bonnet from another project. Temporary welded an old seat on and had it round the garden, clutch and transmission work well, 4th gear is fast enough for sure, whilst reverse and first are good low ranges. Loaded it up a bit up a hill onto my drive, no sign of stopping this thing even in fourth!

Thanks, needs brakes and a decent seat, then a paint up. That will be enough for me to mount my front mounted mower deck and cut the grass this summer. Then I will mount my hydraulic pump and tank, a spool valve and a rear three point linkage, and the next step will be to make a small backhoe for it, just as a toy more than anything else

Cannot wait to see some videos of it in action. My project is more a hobby then actually using it for work. It's a replica of a John Deere H I use to own. It's a work in progress.

That's cool, do you have an angle drive to turn power through 90 degrees? What you using for a gearbox?

Hi, sorry no updates for over a year! Been distracted by life!
I have started to this project again and I am currently planning the hydraulic system and backhoe.
No longer need this for grass cutting as I now have a ride on mower.
Backhoe will be light but useful. I do not want a heavy oversized backhoe that will pull this little tractor all over the place.
