Hi all,

I am receiving my new BX24 next week. Oh Happy Day!

I found a couple of pics on the site of implement called a ditch bucket or "V" ditch bucket. I am trying to see if others have an implement that will fit the bx24 backhoe arm and give me the same type of result shown in the attached picture.

I will be expanding and maintaining irrigation ditches on my land. The soil is easy to work with and should dig fairly well.

My max depth is about 12-16 inches and about 16 inches wide. I was planning on using the backhoe but this sure seems like an efficient way to go.

Sure would love some suggestions if you have them.

Thanks!

In the past when restoring we us to cut a taper on a log
, hook a chain to it and drag the ditch. crude but worked and the price was right.

Sorry, I don't have an answer to the question you ask, but here's an instructional video on ditch-digging that I found interesting and gives suggestions on the best method for beginners. It's not exactly a BX24 in this video though. :)

Congratulations on the tractor. You will LOVE IT!!
