Distributor Cap Satoh S-650G

Iam looking for the number one cylinder on the Distributor someone pulled the cap, wires, and distributor. please help Thanks Tommr

I'm not sure this is what you are asking but the book indicates
"ignition order: 1-3-4-2"

the Distributor was removed by someone else now Iam not sure which of the 4 points on cap is number 1. looking at cap is it the north,south, east,west point #1 /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My #1 is in the front hole on dist. cap.
I'm not a mechanic but I think if the dist has been removed it needs to be in the "right gear" when reinstalled, else timing will be off.
