Dismantle Hydraulic cylinder

Hi, I am looking for assistance in removing the top of the hydraulic cylinder on my Kioti backhoe to change the seals.

I have the cylinder off and I have a pin spanner in the hole on the side of the cylinder and I have tried removing the top by both counter clockwise and clockwise pressure, with no result. Can someone help me with a next step?

Althor, when I bought my backhoe, it showed up with a crack in the boom cylinder fitting. Dealer ordered a new cylinder body and sent a guy out to change it. He stuck a screwdriver in the hole and gave it a good whack with a hammer to loosen the cap and screwed off the end in a ccw direction. Hope that helps.
