Dishing Wheels on 3720

My 3720 is in and almost ready to go. I wanted the wheels dished out to the maximum width since I live on a hill. They are about 62" wide now. The dealer's mechanic said the R4s can't be dished anymore then that.

Is this a true statement?

Depends on the wheels and tires you got.

The tire/wheel assembly can be swapped side to side (depending if the tires are unidirectional). However, this is dependent upon the offset of the wheel (depth from flange to the mounting surface of the wheel).

Why would you not believe the Dealer's technician?

Hi:

That sounds right. I had a 3320 (now a 3720) and the wheels (on R4's) are only 2 position and you gain between 2 and 3 inches I think. In the narrow position they are about 59+inches. I have mine in the wide position also, but I'm waiting for some 6" wheel extensions.

Why they don't offer R4's (Or even R3's) with the 8 position wheels that the R1's come with (These go very wide) is beyond me.

To answer Roy's question, first, my NH had R4's and they could be dished out. Then I came home and looked at my owners manual and it says R4s can be swapped out. Not the 8 position kind, just one way.
