1996 KUBOTA L3600
I HAVE A BUSTED HYDRAULIC LINE ON MY L3600'S FRONT END LOADER. TODAY IS LABOR DAY AND NO ONE IS OPEN TO MAKE UP A NEW LINE. I WANT TO DO SOME WORK TODAY WITH ROOT RAKE, BOX BLADE, ETC. IS IT WORTH DISCONNECTING BUCKET FOR THE DAY TO USE THE TRACTOR?

How are you going to get the FEL off with a busted hydraulic hose?

First, CALM DOWN!!! No need to yell.:laughing:

Well, if you can remove your loader without the hydraulic lines functioning. On my Kubota, I use the hydraulics to lower the bucket, roll, then I remove pins, etc. In other words, I need the hydraulic power to remove easily. I suppose it could be done with brawn.

Ah, holidays. The kind of stuff always happens, it seems.

THE LINE IS JUST LEAKING PRETTY STEADY, I CAN STILL USE IT FOR A SHORT TIME. I'VE NEVER REMOVED THE LOADER AND HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO. I SEE THE PINS AND WHERE MOUNT "SITS ON CRADLE". THANKS FOR THE QUICK REPLY

If you have a hoist, you should be able to pull the pins by putting tension on it then move the hoist to the back and lift it off; just depends on what you have handy. We have removed them from non running tractors to get them on a trailer.

BP FICK.WHAT IS THE TECHNIQUE YOU USE ? I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ASSUME, BUT I ASSUME DISCONNECT PINS CLOSEST TO DRIVER SEAT, ROLL FOWARD WITH BUCKET TILTED DOWN AND BACK, THEN DISCONNECT PINS WHEN BUCKET IS RESTED ON GROUND?

Go to Youtube.

Watch videos of removing a FEL on a similar model. Doesn't have to be your exact model, just similar enough to get the jist.

Note the steps. Watch it again. Take notes. Lower bucket, roll bucket, etc.

Take those notes out to the tractor and do it! It's easy.

(BTW, typing in all caps is considering yelling on internet forums. Just a whisper to wise. )

Been using tractors for 50 years, but did not have a lot of experience with removing a loader.

Honestly, I used YouTube to teach myself. It's easy once you see how Messick and BXpanded and many others on there show you how. Best regards,
