I know it's not a good idea, and maybe it can't be done, but.........is there a way to disconnect the safety switch on the seat of my 4320? I have a new sprayer and I can't even get out of my tractor to adjust the pressure regulator on the sprayer. When I get off the seat, the engine kills, I need the pto running so I can run the sprayer, I need to be along side the sprayer in order to adjust things. GRRRRRR

For sure it can be done, but should it?

On my tractor, simply removing the spring under the rear of the seat did the trick. The weight of the seat alone keeps the switch from shutting the tractor down. And.... easy enough to replace should I need to sell the tractor one day.

Just unplug the switch then put a jumper wire in the plug.

I could be wrong here but if you put the range shift in neutral won't the pto continue to run? Of course use the park brake, set you loader down (if you have one) and don't do it on an incline.

Just think how many times that switch just saved your life. Leave the switch on and have a friend do the adjusting

Why can't you just run pto like you would with a limb chipper with operator off seat, adjust your sprayer, shut down pto, remount tractor, restart pto and go spray ?

Here's a link to how to run pto with operator out of seat.

I wouldn't recommend disconnecting this switch. I can run my rear PTO without being in the operators seat by setting the parking break and moving the range selector lever to the neutral position. It is in the operating section in my manual.

Geez.....thank you guys! I followed Willl's link and reread the manual. I can get it done by first putting the speed selector in neutral like you guys said, starting the tractor, but NOT sitting in the seat, then engaging the PTO. Yahoooo!
This is a new tractor and sprayer. I have been reading, but wanted to have some hands on too....well, guess I had better continue reading! I must admit, being a female sometimes I don't read all that is there. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
