Buying Advice Disc Harrow help

I have a 4 wheel drive MX5100 HST Kubota, and looking for a good disc harrow.

I am curious if anyone has a similar or same tractor with a harrow.

I want a 6.5 ft disc with 20 inch pans, about a 16 pan disc. I like the looks of the Brown the most.

Any ideas are welcomed. Thanks, LJ.

I have a Howse brand, they call it a 7.5'. The disc does well behind my 5010 Mahindra. Howse is made in Ms and I try to support local business if they offer a product to fit my need. I am not familiar with Brown. I would like to know more about them.

Personally, I would stick with a box framed sealed bearing disc...
I have a Howse 5'-6" model that pulls really nice behind my 1720...
I like the adjustment that Ted has designed in his disc at Everything Attachments...
That is one well made implement...

I have used two behind my mx5000. A leinbach b245 20-18. It pulled it very well, almost too easy. I recently upgraded to a heavy EA 24-20, it cuts amazingly better than the lighter leinbach.

Not allow modified for Cat 2 but also Cat yellow!!

I don't know much about disk harrows but the folks at Everything Attachments are great to do business with. I have purchased a box grader, pallet forks and most recently a root grapple. Well built impliments, good service and free shipping. Works for me!

I have bought a set of forks from Everything Attachments and they are a wonderful company.

I was curious about different harrows out there that some have already chimed in about.

Also I was curious about the power the HST could apply while using the disc. I want to be able to cover my tracks and cut the soil very well.

I also want to be able to carry it through the hunting property woods without having to worry about durability and damage from roots.

I have a 7' disk with 18" blades on my L5740 (6 more HP) and it is not much of a load. I also have a 13' tandem pull type disk with 18" blades weighted down with 2 x 10' long railroad rails plus a couple 3 x 3 x 3/8" angles 10' long. It pretty much sinks the disk into the spools when I get the ground worked up well. It pulls at 4.0 to 4.4 mph.

I was waiting for EA to post some weights of their harrows and they have one of the Extreme HD harrows with weight now and it is 769 lbs. This was a set with the 18" discs. I have been emailing them about their harrows for awhile now. I was looking for the 24-20" harrows and they estimated the weight to be about 1175. They are offering a 5% discount between now and December 31. I am going to check out a local shipping terminal to insure that I can have them shipped there and most likely will buy them before the 31st. These are the 6'10" width harrows. I think that is about as large as my tractor can comfortably handle on hilly, heavy clay terrain.

We have the "Dirt Dog" 2420 model 300-13 coming in for $2250. Weight is 1157. Dirt Dog makes lots of Bush Hog implements. Ken Sweet

Mr. Sweet: Does the 2420 mean it has 24 20 inch blades? What different sizes do the model 300's come in? Any bigger than 24 blades? Any smaller than 24 blades? The DirtDog website doesn't say too much.
