Seems the concensus is that it is an issue.
The cracks are at the 90 degree turn of the bottom part of the plate. Where it goes from the main flat portion to the small tab portion where the dogs of the hydraulic pins go into the square holes.
They just cut out the holes and used a huge brake to bend the plate to a 90degree angle instead of welding a small bottom piece with square holes in it to the large plate. Sorry, I dont have any more pics available at this time.

Don't know about the larger units, but the plates for my 425 are made the same way.... they cut out the slots for the locking tabs, then bend the bottom of the plate 90 degrees. While I don't like receiving things like that after paying good money, in reality, it probably will never break. You should get a replacement.

FYI:
Sent Terry a picture and he called me today and said that "they come like that and it should be OK".
He didn't offer anything other than that.
I already gave it to the welder to attach it to my pallet forks so I am going to have him weld it at the cracking.
Terry said all the aftermarket adapter plates are bent on the brake now.

I was wondering if those edge areas are surface hardened from being cut out, and then that surface cracks when bent. That could make the cracks cosmetic rather than structural, especially if they are over built.

I think you nailed it.

Wrong bend radius, It is cracked half way through..... I serious doubt if it was hardened, they just use mild steel. is the the side cracked the same? If they think it's all right, ask him to put it in writing..... Myself, I would just V out the cracks and weld them up with 7018....... jim

Looks like they are trying to sell their attachments (forks) and discourage anyone from building their own.
They are asking that metal to bend in ways it just won't. Is that a channel or angle? Waay too tight of a radius.
Next time, skip the cheesy adapter and go directly to your weldor.

Def. a QA issue from the manufacturer. There is no way they should have let this go out like that without at least a repair.
