I assume the 3 pt hitch valve is set wide open for you hose connections to supply full pressure?

you know i did not even check that valve now that you bring it up, does that effect the backhoe as well????

i think im just excpeting to much from the BH77, its the only backhoe i have used before but i thought it would have more power than it does.

I have the 16" bucket and i am digging 40 deet of trenches for my irrigation in my pasture and its a struggle. Maybe i am doing something wrong but it is just slow going seems to have a total lack of power when doing anything other than curling the bucket.

Use your arm for an example. If you stick you arm straight out in front of you and use your hand as the bucket and tilt your hand down at a 90 degree angle put your arm and hand down towards the dirt and try to pull back towards your self bending you elbow trying to pull the dirt towards yourself it will not do it, its just stops.

i will try to get some video tommorow posted up to see if im just retarded and digging wrong or if i have a low pressure issue or something

How much experience do you have running a backhoe? Not sure what your technique is but sounds like that could be your problem. The BH77 actually has slightly more dipperstick force than the B26 industrial TLB, so I doubt that is your problem. I have run both B21s and B26 for many hours and never had any trouble in even the toughest clay. You should be able to trench 40', 3' deep in well under an hour.

So what about this three point valve. Is that the round knob below the seat? That reslly effects the backhoe pressure. I thought it just left the three point fall faster

The valve in question only controls the drop rate of the 3PH and doesn't affect the BH operation.

Do you hear the backhoe go into relief at this point?

When you trench, you don't want the BH teeth pointing straight down at 90 degrees. You want them almost parallel with the ground so that you just take of a couple inches of dirt of the top as you crowd the dipper towards you.

How does the BH perform when you operate it like this?
