dirt scoop for ym1700

Will a YM1700 handle a 30" dirt scoop or would a 24" be better?
Also which is better in your opinion. King Kutter or Howse?

I cannot say for sure as I made my scoop, but copied it from the KK example. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/build-yourself/98421-dirt-scoop-3-pt-first.html?highlight=dirt+scoop I made mine 30 in and can load it to overflowing with my 1510D so I would think that a 1700 should be able to handle the 30 in model.

Dumping the scoop and wheel clerance are the main concerns. The 24 and 30 seem to hold the same amount of dirt but the 24 must be raised higher to dump. Also the 30 makes a fair tool for leveling the dirt. I bought the 24 and have problems dumping it but have no problems with my brothers 30. But t the 30 will hang my tires. Check the length or the scoop to see if you can raise it high enought to dump.
