Thanks for the info on the backhoe! I have a dewalt grease gun and it sure is great, Milwaukee's gun should do you well.

Well, I removed the backhoe today, and it took me less than 30 minutes total.

I'm thinking it will take less than half that time when it comes off again.

I mounted the quick-hitch and then attached the 60" brush cutter.

I plan to mow a bit of our property next week, after we return from Tweedsmuir Park.

But I'm still waiting for a Milwaukee cordless electric grease gun to arrive.

The loader only has 12 zerks but the backhoe has at least 42.

I know the brush cutter will need grease as well.

I'm sure glad the box blade has none.

The next project is to erect rhe 12X24X10' portable carport, so ding beep will have a bit of shelter.

Hopefully enough room to house the attachments and implements as well...

The 72" box blade will clear a pad for the carport.

Then I'll re-attach the backhoe.

I'll have another update as soon as we return from the park. :fishing:

"the backhoe has at least 42".... (zerks)
Really?
My Kubota L48 (11') backhoe with hyd. thumb does not have anywhere near 42 zerks.

Just a few action shots: planting trees for my wife.

Next task is to gas'er up, grease'er down and pull off the backhoe.

I'll be attaching the brush hog and mowing a bit...before I blade-off a spot to build my tractor house.

If the weather stays nice, I may even squeeze in some more fishing.

Real Nice, good luck with it. I have a 2555 for three years now, working great! fyi....i took off the loader a total of 4 times. 2 times went smooth, 1 time was difficult and the last time was a nightmare. it must be perfectly level when you take it off. i can get the hoe on and off in about 15 minutes or so and have done it on uneven ground many times.

Thanks for the advice on the loader detachment. I have removed the backhoe twice (super-easy) and re-attached the backhoe once (kind of tricky...I'll do better next time).

Yup, we are blessed with incredible beauty, and this place is truly a sportsman's paradise. A huge change from my last home (Northern Arizona).

A little off-topic but, for all you anglers out there, fishing for me last week was fair: my biggest rainbow was 4.9#.

Here's what my daughter and her boyfriend pulled two days ago. (hers, 5.8#...his, 7.2#).

So obviously, it's no wonder my lawn looks like a hay field, right?

Yup, the 10-12# rainbows are big and blocky; reminds me of salmon.

The record rainbow in the park is 22#...only 18# on Ootsa.

We also like to use set lines for burbot (ling cod).

She pulled an 8.5# ling this morning.

Ugly fish, but mighty tasty.
