I have a TC45DA and want to use a neighbours hydraulic lift Trailer to haul wood chips. I was told that the oil in the trailer maybe different from what I use in the tractor. Does it matter if I use the trailer and mix the hydraulic oil? OR should I use a different hose?

Thanks for any insight on this.

Steve, it will be more oil than just that in the hose. You will have oil from the hydraulic cylinder(s) too. You could take one quick connect fitting loose and pressurized the other side to push out around half of the oil just to see how it looks. If the oil looks clean, I wouldn't worry much, because you have two filters between your reservoir and HST transmission which is your most critical hydraulic component. When you consider the small amount of oil that will be mixed with the almost 10 gallons in your tractor, it won't account for a very high percentage of the fluid.
