Difference between B7100, B1700 and B1750???

This is by memory, subject to ‘Too Much TractorByNet’ syndrome /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif …

B7100 w/ 16 HP engine, had an older design. Available in F, DT, and HSD models. Manual steering. World's best-selling compact tractor (Kubota claim). Turf or R1 ag tires were available when new. Took the 1630c fixed mount or 1640 (I think - memory may be off!) quick-attach loader in the later model years. Lift capacity under-600lbs.

B1750 was a newer design, 20HP engine, available bi-speed turn. F, DT, HSE, HSD (Gear/2WD, Gear/4WD, Hydro/2WD, Hydro/4WD) models available. Power steering on 4WD models, turf, bar-turf, and R1 ag tires were available when new. Took the 1640 or LA300 loader, lift capacity, 600-650lbs (rough estimate, no data with me now). The B1750 was replaced by the B2100, not the B1700 as many assume.

B1700 is the most recent model, 17 horsepower, flat deck, new design, all those nice features you find on the newer models. (Plastic, too!) Replaced the B1550 and now replaced by the B7400/B7500. The B1700 has position control, which the newer replacement models do not have (nice feature). Power steering was standard on 4WD models. Turf, turf-bar, and R1 ag tires were available when new. The B1700 took the LA301 loader, lifts 660lbs.

If you need, I could probably dig up some promo-photos for each of these machines, also.

Hipe this helps!

I think the B1750 is the most powerful of this group. It has 20 hp gross (lets not get into that!) and 17 at the PTO. Check that site that Bird recommends to see if they have the specs. Something like tractortips.com.

When I was looking for a tractor I liked the heavier duty nature of the 1750 vs the 7000 series, but I never really tested the 7000. I ended up with a 2150 which I like alot.
Good luck!

Pretty good memory, too./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif But my 1995 B7100HSD, 4WD, two speed hydrostatic, claimed 17 net hp and 13 PTO hp, and as you said, a fixed mount 1630C loader, capacity 520 lbs. if I remember right, no position control, power steering, or gauges.

Wow, that would be a twist if the B7100 had a 17HP engine - I know I have a sales sheet on the '95 B7100HSD at home, but what I have here on it says 16, so I'll check later.

Dang Muhammad, I'm getting old and forgetful./w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif I could have sworn the salesman said the B6100 was 16 hp and the B7100 was 17 hp, but my paperwork does show the 1995 B7100HSD "Max. bare horsepower . . .16HP at 2,800 rpm" and "PTO horsepower . . .13HP at 2,800 rpm". And while I was looking it up, the B1630C "rigid mount" loader had a "lift capacity at full height" of 510 lbs. . ."Maximum Lift Height . . . 67.7 in."/w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

Bird your not getting its just your wisdom.
I to was wondering the specifications so I dug out my booklets.
B6100 14 hp at 2800 rpm and what you stated about the B7100 hp was right, also the B1630C lift capacity and lift height was dead on.
We must have the same operator's & parts manual.
The only down side of the B7100 was no power steering and gauges, for its a shame that would have been one
sweet tractor.

If you like more specifications on the B7100 I have operator's manual.
I also have the operator's parts & manual on the B1630C front loader which fits the B7100.
Take care and good luck.

Actually if the B7100 had power steering, I'd never have even stopped to look at the other tractors and I'd still have it. Of course, I do like the gauges, position control, and bigger size of the B2710. I let the manuals go with the B7100, but still have the sales brochure on the tractor and the front end loaders for that year.
