Oil & Fuel Diesel Kleen fuel additive

Has anyone ever used Diesel Kleen fuel additive? I picked up a quart at Wal Mart and read the label. It is supposed to be a good fuel stabilizer , plus, it is supposed to raise your octane rating from 3 to 6 points depending on how much you want to put in it. It is also supposed to keep the fuel system clean, eliminate water in the fuel, lubricate better, etc. Sounds like good stuff.

can't really tell you if that stuff is any good! But why do you feel you need it? what additives do you add to the fuel for you car ?

I have been using it. I also use a little of the 911 when I store fuel.

I've been using it for 4 years in my Passat TDi. I've actually documented a slight drop in mileage when I "forget" to add it to the tank. Good stuff IMO...

I've been using it in my VW TDI turbodiesels for eight years now, also using it in our 1985 Massey Ferguson 1030, Kubota L-3130, Kubota ZD-21, and Kubota L39. Excellent lubricant for the injection pumps and injectors as well as fuel enhancer.

BTW, it increases the cetane level by adding 2-ethylhexylnitrate, not the octane level. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
