Diesel in engine oil

If you remove it from the pump there is a pintle nested in the pump housing which should pull into solenoid when it is powered up,you should have power at solenoid with key on,the pintle is pushed down to block fuel passage by a spring (with a light screw driver soleniod should feel slightly magnetic).

I tried everything suggested and got no improvement. I pulled the pump and had it tested. The guy said it was working less than 50%. Some stuck pistons and rollers inside the pump were the problem.

Now, for the question: Is there any advantage to setting the pump above the factory setting? The guy that rebuilt it said he turned it up. I dont even know what he was talking about, but I guess 600 something is the factory setting, and he set it around 900. He was really nice and took the time to show me how to turn it down if I feel the need. Should I leave it alone, or turn it down a little while it is a lot easier to do with the pump off the tractor?

Yeah, I had the same problem 3 years ago, had a mechanic pull the injectors, test them, clean them, reinstalled and everything works great, no more rising oil level.
