I was in the 1st Cav at Fort Hood in 71-72. I think we had Cobras then. Nice photo. Those Gators aren't all that much smaller than our jeeps back then.

Looks to be part of the 227th. I have a son that flew for the 227 for several years at Ft Hood. Don't recall seeing anything like that around though. While it can be sunny and warm Ft Hood can be cold. Remember standing outside in the rain and wind and below 40 degrees as his unit returned from down range.
