Diesel fuel and Long 350 tractor

Hey, everyone, need some information. I need to know if I messed up. I've had my Long 350 for a couple of years, and have only used off-road diesel from a local farm supply place. Yesterday the business was closed and I needed diesel, so I called a tractor repair place and asked if it was OK to use regular #2 diesel from the service station in the tractor. He said it would be fine. So I put about 4 gallons in the tractor. Today it ran fine for about an hour or so then started to rev up a bit and back down. Finally it revved down and died. Will not start. What should I do next? I am a novice, any help would be appreciated.

They are both the same product , except one is dyed red and one isnt . Check your fuel filter
