Did your new Kiotis that were "ordered in" arrive in "new" condition?

I Just read a post on a new kubota that a guy took delivery of that was covered in rust and corrosion http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/owning-operating/281623-my-brand-new-corroded-rusted.html.

My DK45 HST cab is being ordered in, should have it in 2 to 3 weeks. Just wondering about your experiences on the condition of your machines when delivered.

I realize some of these tractors may sit outside for a while, but mine better be in new condition when delivered.

Thanks

Mine sat out on the lot for 7 months uncovered and it was fine. P.S. Welcome to the Pack!

Mine was at the dealer May '12, I got it April '13. It was clean and shiny, 8 hours.

:welcome: Welcome aboard!

We need pics when it arrives, or it didn't happen!

Mine was on the lot a little while and had 13 hrs on it by the time I got it. It was in perfect condition, not a scratch, dent or speck of rust. I'd expect the same for yours.

Thanks guys, I'm sure it will nice. Waiting has never been one of my strongpoints:drool:
I read about these tractors not really having a year designation until they are bought, but just go by model series.. Time to quit thinking and just enjoy the ride:drink:
That Kubota was terrible.

Thanks again.

GRM61.....Welcome to the Pack!!!!

Unfortunately, the paint on my loader arms was defective! I was too excited to do a once over on the entire unit before I signed the paperwork and gave them a check! The paint prep work was not good and the paint broke away from some of the hard 90 degree angles on my loader arms and brackets. Below are some examples of what I found later after I got it home and started using it......noticed the paint within a week or so (before & after pics included)?

Just take your time and go over it with a "fine tooth comb" and make sure everything is right/correct on it. B/c the FEL was still inside it's 1yr warranty, the dealer repaired it (sanded it down, primed it and painted it) while I had it in for the 50 hr service. My dealer did a great job with it!

Re: Did your new Kiotis that were "ordered in" arrive in "new" condition?

Mine sat on the Mt. Grove lot for many months, and was transported to my house. It did have 12 hours on it.. I guess a fair number of test drives! But it looked nice, no rust or dents. I don't know what to think about that Kubota you referenced.. I have never seen a tractor so corroded. Most seem to think it is salt spray or something, but I was of of the opinion that it started life as a submarine.. I dunno, but no new tractor I have bought and that includes some that have sat out for a long time looked anything like that. And my aluminum parts (alternator and a few other pieces) looked nothing like that either..I am not saying that some of the undercarriage parts might not have a spot or two on them, I mean it is farm machinery, but nothing that could not be touched up in a minute or two with a spay can. That muffler is rusty all over. Mine after 142 hours still has all of its original hi-temp paint on it .. NO rust. I still say that thing took a swim.
