Since I live close to my hometown where I grew up and went to school, I like to go to the reunions. Last year one of my classmates established a Facebook page for our class. There is also a trend of trying to get together for lunch about once per quarter. I missed the first one of these lunches because it was on my wife's birthday. Otherwise, I would have attended. There are lots of folks in my class with whom I was just acquainted and not close friends. When I go to one of the reunions, I try to get around to them and talk. I do like to see the folks I knew well, but I also force myself to go over and break the ice with those I didn't know well or especially anyone I see who looks timid or shy. Some are bankers, lawyers, judges, engineers, professors, teachers, or very successful business types. I don't care who they are, they all respond to a big smile and friendly handshake. I think it's pretty cool.:thumbsup:
