Did this come off my TC30?

Found it in the field I was mowing. Looks like it's been on the ground a bit, could have come off last time I mowed, 1-2 weeks ago.

The first thing that comes to mind is that it is the prop for the hood (holds it in the raised position). My TC24DA has one very similiar to it......just a thought.

TC30 doesn't use a gas shock for the hood. Just a hold up bar and pin.
Hard to tell the size, but my bet is it's off a SUV or van.
Or somebody with one of those fancy tractors were in your field.

sorry about the pic, the "strut" is only 11 1/2" long extended, 1/2" - 5/8" in diameter at the cylinder, 3/16" diameter rod.

My HST pedal has been sticking (not good), so I thought it might have come off of that somewhere/somehow, but I can't find where, if it did.

hydro rod (if equipped) is under shroud under steering wheel. Tw piece section (black) held by 4 bolts on each side.

And the pictured item is not from that assembly, or anywhere else on a TC30.

I'd say, possibly, from a truck tool box, or something similar.

Some ZTR mowers use those small struts to dampen the control arms.
