Trying to clear some brush with the bucket after a rain, and ended up stuck a bit down a small hill in my Framtrac 360DTC 4WD. Took 30-40 minutes to work a path through the brush and was just about to crest the hill, when suddenly the clutch went stiff. Could barely move the pedal. No gears would engage. The engine then died, and now it won't even try to crank. Did the clutch get siezed to the flywheel? Anything I can do to try and free it?

You probably already checked, but is there possibly something physically wedged underneath the tractor in the linkage?

I'm with Jay. A stick or something is wedged on the clutch linkages and won't let you press the clutch all the way down.

This may very well be the reason as why you can't start the engine. If the pedal won't go all the way down, then it won't trigger the clutch safety switch that let's you start the engine.

Gentlemen, I am slightly embarrassed but mostly grateful: you were both correct. In the fading light last night, I missed a chunk of a rotting stump that had wedged itself in the linkage. Pryed it out, and all is well. Thank you!
