Did I get the wrong moly grease for my backhoe/loader pins?

As others have said... Frequent greasing with "bad" grease beats infrequent greasing with the the best grease.

Some grease types arent compatible. Grease Compatibility Chart and Reference Guide pick one & stick with it.

Personally I stick with a lithium molly one. Currently Kubota branded. Molly isnt good for high speed bearings, but tractors dont have anything high speed. The biggest downside is its ability to seek out light colored fabric.

I once searched several stores for yellow grease because of the ability of dark grease to seek out light colored fabric mentioned as mentioned by fallon. I never found the yellow grease.

I never liked lithium grease because it dries up and cracks, marine grease don't do that, but it can't be used for high speed, like wheel bearings, my friends rotors got really hot from trying that.. and yes, all the old lithium grease was removed first..
